Gry, my wife and partner (the "Rick" half of Woodward + Rick) and I met eleven years ago while attending the Rochester Institute of Technology's world renowned photography school. Well we fell in love first with each other's photography, then with each other. After staying in Rochester for 4 years and a stint in the Kodak photo studio, we decided that six months of winter was too much and we looked for greener pastures. We landed in Asheville, NC and haven't looked back! We had to refocus our business from commercial advertising photography to weddings but that has been the best thing we've ever done (well, next to our daughter, Sara!). The wedding industry here is booming! We work with great people, at beautiful locations throughout the South, during one of the happiest days of their lives. . .not a bad way to make a living!
